Assumption B.V.M. Parish Mission Statement

We, the catholic families of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Pulaski, Wisconsin, have come together as a community of faith that we may deepen our knowledge and understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We will create an atmosphere that provides liturgical celebrations and ensures that quality religious education be available to people of every age.
We will encourage the involvement and leadership of the laity. We will share our own time, talents and treasure to enrich all in spiritual, emotional and financial need.
This is stated to inspire all to live according to Christ’s law of Love.

Catholic Education at a Child-Centered School

Assumption B.V.M. Catholic School educates children from 3-year-old preschool to Grade 6. The family-friendly and child-centered school lives out the Catholic traditions of prayer and worship, building a culture reflective of our Catholic values. 

Fostering Spirituality and Outreach

Offering many opportunities for small group faith sharing, Assumption B.V.M. fosters the faith of Catholic adults. The parish hosts movie nights, evangelization programs, Bible study, and other religious events throughout the year. Assumption B.V.M. also supports the community by partnering with Pulaski Area Community Education, the Pulaski Community Food Pantry, St. John’s Ministries Homeless Shelter and A&A Alexandrina Center Pregnancy Care Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and other charitable organizations locally and globally. 

Active in Pulaski Polka Days & Celebrate Pulaski

An iconic landmark in the Village of Pulaski, Assumption B.V.M plays an integral role in the community. During the annual Pulaski Polka Days celebration in July, Assumption B.V.M. opens its doors to people from around the world. Our priest blesses the event at its kick-off, and parishioners actively support the food stands, polka dance halls, and parade. In August, Assumption B.V.M. hosts Celebrate Pulaski, a free, family event featuring food, games, music. The fun afternoon is open to people of all faiths in Pulaski. Proud to host it for the community on the Sunday closest to the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Aug. 15.

Rich Polish-American Heritage

Rich in Polish-American history, Assumption B.V.M. is a beautiful church with distinctive twin pillars. While holding fast to our Polish-American Catholic tradition, we continue to evolve as a faith community to meet the needs of today’s followers of Christ. Also of note, the Franciscan Friars established the Assumption B.V.M. province in Pulaski in 1887 and established a printery in their monastery in 1907. In 2023, the Assumption B.V.M. friars joined with other U.S. Franciscan provinces to form Our Lady of Guadeloupe Franciscan Friars.
